Mission and Introduction

Facilitating Academic Careers in Engineering and Science (FACES) is a program of the National Science Foundation. Emory University, Georgia Institute of Technology, Morehouse College and Spelman College comprise this Alliance for Graduate Education and the Professoriate which "is intended to increase significantly the number of domestic students receiving doctoral degrees in the sciences, technology, engineering, and mathematics, with special emphasis on those population groups underrepresented in these fields" (NSF.gov). We are excited about the positive impact FACES is having on recruitment, retention, and career development of talented scientists at all stages of career and training.
