FACES Ethics Consultation Service

The NIH, NSF, and numerous educational institutions have responded to unethical scientific practices by implementing or mandating research ethics education programs. FACES is proud to join these organizations who understand that good science is ethical science. When faced with ethical dilemmas in the laboratory or research environment, it is often helpful to solicit the advice or assistance of someone who is uninvolved in the situation. A research ethicist may be able to help resolve the problem, offer ways to prevent its recurrance, and, by doing so, improve individual and institutional scientific integrity.

Karama Neal, the Emory FACES program associate, holds an MA in bioethics, and is available for ethics consultations for FACES funded students and others. If you have a research ethics, biomedical ethics, or responsible conduct of research concern that you would like to discuss, please contact, Karama Neal, PhD MA at kneal@emory.edu or 404/727-6251. You need not be supported by FACES to use the FACES Ethics Consultation Service.
