Values in Science
Overview:
Values in Science (IBS/Chem 606) is an intensive two-day course in research
ethics sponsored and coordinated by the Graduate School
and the Center for Ethics. Values in Science is offered once a year in January, the week before Spring semester classes start. The course satisfies the ethics
training requirements of the National Institutes of Health and is designed for
graduate students in the GDBBS, Biomedical Engineering and Chemistry.
Post-doctoral fellows will take a course taught by the Office of Postdoctoral Education.
Faculty who would like ethics instruction for a grant may take either course.
Registration:
Graduate students register for IBS/Chem 606 through OPUS like any other course. Post-doctoral fellows should contact the Office of Post-Doctoral Education (http://www.emory.edu/WHSC/MED/POSTDOC/).
Values in Science is next offered at the following time:
January 11-12, 2010, 9:30 AM-4:00 PM
Both days are in Candler School of Theology/Center for Ethics, Ethics Commons 102
