NIH Awards Research Grant
The NIH Awards a Blueprint Training Grant in Computational Neuroscience to Emory Neuroscience Training Faculty
Under this grant, $1.6 million will be received from the National Institutes of Health over 5 years for Emory and Georgia Tech investigators to support a high profile training program in the area of Computational Neuroscience. Emory/Georgia Tech will become one of only 5 recognized national training centers receiving such NIH support. The core training faculty currently consists of 16 faculty members from Departments spanning the Emory Medical School (Physiology, Neurology, Anesthesiology) and Emory College of Arts and Sciences (Biology, Psychology) as well as Georgia Tech (Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering). This range testifies to the highly collaborative and interdisciplinary nature of this field of study at Emory/Georgia Tech.
